feeding the rss

i'm diggin this rss feed. i can see how it will be really timesaving to get updated on all things interesting at once. Ha! not that there will be time left for anything else if i go crazy with it. I think i will have to ponder for a while which feeds i really and truly need. The chatter of the internet is loud and distracting! i'll be looking for ways to use it at work, other than newsletters.

catching up and iming

i used to im with a friend on msn. it seems like a long time ago. i remember thinking at the time, "wow this is too fast for me." i'd say i'm surprised to be feeling about the same today. i guess email is plenty "live" for this Neanderthal. i just can't formulate my thoughts that fast in writing and, again, i'm more of the in-person type. Which is not to say that i can't see the usefulness of it. I like it when websites have live chat for customer service help so i can see how that would carry over to library reference. what a great resource, but what about the about the instant gratification culture we've created. like i said, i'm a cave girl.

i am getting really behind on this si20for2.o deal. it's been pointed out that i'm more of an in-person blogger. i do my share of that! so, if i stop by your cubicle or we meet in the hallway and i start talking, i'm just trying to catch up. you know.
